Zamboanga City bounced back
After the horrifying tragic happened in Zamboanga City, where the MNLF Misuari faction attacked the city, many lives was wasted including those civilians and military who died in the middle of the fight against the MNLF Misuari faction.
Zamboanga City is now trying to recover from all those tragic events. In fact, they will be celebrating their
77th Dia De Zamboanga.
Celebrating 77th Dia De Zamboanga
Everything is set for the celebration of the 77th Dia de Zamboanga on February 26 with the theme “Build Back Better Zamboanga”.
The main highlight of the celebration will be the conferment of awards to Local Achievers covering various fields of endeavours and the grand civic military parade. The awarding ceremony will be held on February 25, on the eve of the celebration while the grand civic military parade will be held February 26.
Lined-up Activities:
The different city-sponsored activities lined up for the celebration include the 8th Dia di Senador Roseller T. Lim on Feb. 9; 8th Zamboanga Food Festival from Feb. 21-22, 6pm onward at the Plaza del Pilar; 1st Mayor Beng Climaco-Salazar Bowling Cup at the Tebi and Sean Recreational center on Feb. 21-23; Documentary of Zamboanga mayors on Feb. 24 from 9am to 4pm at the Centro Latino in Paseo del Mar; 2nd Zamboanga International Film Festival from Feb. 28 to March 2 9am to 4pm at the Cinematech, FDCP Building at Legionaire Road, Zone IV; Cheer Dance Competition on Feb. 24 at 1pm at the Vitaliano Agan Coliseum in Tetuan; Drum and Lyre Competition (high School level) on Feb. 25 at 2pm at the Paseo del Mar and Dia de Zamboanga Peace Concert on Feb. 26 at 6pm at the Paseo del Mar.
Conclusion:
Zamboanga City is one of the most beautiful city in Western Mindanao, why would I say that? Simply because I am living here in Zamboanga City. I had seen people working together without any religion conflict. There are different tourist attraction, one of it is the Sta. Cruz Island and some other beautiful places.
Whatever had happen to this city, I would says that people here are still intact in helping each other no matter what is their religion.
"Building Back Better Zamboanga City" is the theme for this 77th day celebration of Dia De Zamboanga and I believed that we can bring back Zamboanga City the way it use to be.
