Paul George suffers serious leg injury
Paul George an All-Star on the Indiana Pacers, suffered a gruesome lower right leg injury during the U.S. national team's intrasquad scrimmage at UNLV and was undergoing surgery late Friday night.
George leapt to contest a fast-break layup by James Harden with 9 minutes 33 seconds left in the fourth quarter, and his leg buckled against the bottom of the backboard stanchion.
George was awake and alert as he was carried off the court on a stretcher. George’s leg was put in an air cast, and he was taken to the Hospital for Special Surgery in Las Vegas following the incident.
